South Wales Police are appealing for witnesses following a Road Traffic Collision that occurred at approximately 19.25 hrs on Thursday 21st August 2014 at the A4063, Sarn, Bridgend at the junction with Bryncoch Road.
A blue Ford Focus estate motor car was travelling along the A4063 which collided with a male pedal cycle.
The cyclist suffered multiple injuries; he was treated at scene by paramedics before he was conveyed to University Hospital Cardiff.
His condition is currently described as critical.
The driver of the Ford was uninjured.
South Wales Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.
The Police would like to speak to any person who witnessed the collision or stopped to provide assistance. and who have not yet given their details.
In particular police urge the occupants of what is believed to be a white Ford Focus vehicle which was present at the time of the collision and may have witnessed the collision to contact them.
The carriageway was closed for approximately 3 hours whilst the police conducted initial investigations.
