Blues narrow gap on top four

Connacht Rugby 12 – 26 Cardiff Blues

Cardiff Blues made up ground on the Magners League top four with a 26 v 12 victory away to Connacht.

The hosts went into the break with a two point lead thanks to four first half penalties whilst the blues scores came from a Casey Laula try and five points from the boot of Dan Parks.

The hosts had the better of the early exchanges but the Blues looked dangerous in attack and worked their way back into the game.

The Welsh side dominated the second period and Parks opened the scoring with a penalty, before he kicked two more to stretch his side’s lead.

Wales lock Bradley Davies scored the games crucial try late on which Parks converted to give the Blues the victory they deserved.
