Exiles U15s battle hard for victory

A solid defensive display helped the Welsh Exiles Under 15s to a 12-5 victory today over a determined Pontypool & District side at Ealing Trailfinders in West London.

Two early tries and a strong forward display set up the platform for the win and although the visitors from Gwent dominated much of the second half the Exiles held out to secure a well deserved victory.

Welsh Exiles Secretary Terwyn Williams was delighted with the result declaring afterwards: “We had several boys making their debuts today and all performed well against difficult opposition.

“Whilst this was an excellent team effort we also had some fine individual performances by players who will be of interest to the Welsh regions and I look forward to seeing some of these boys in an Exiles shirt again”.
