Pontfadog is a village in the valley of the Afon Ceiriog west of Chirk. The Glyn Valley Tramway had a station in the village, which has now been preserved by the Glyn Valley Tramway Group.
The Swan Inn, the local village pub, sits firmly in the centre of the village serving traditional meals as well as a good selection of cask and draught beers. There is also a local village shop with a post office counter.
