| Tommy Nutter Tommy Nutter (1943, Wales - August 18, 1992) was a Savile Row tailor and fashion designer who designed Bianca Jagger's wedding suit. His other customers included The Beatles, Yoko Ono and Elton John.
Tommy Nutter was trained in traditional tailoring on Savile Row before setting up his 'House of Nutter' with Edward Sexton, backed by Cilla Black and Peter Brown of the Beatles' company Apple. The business, which opened on Valentine's Day 1969, remained in the same street, but created a sensation with its bold window displays and original suits. The Beatles are pictured wearing three of his suits on the front cover of 'Abbey Road'.
He also created costumes for the 1989 Batman film including those worn by Jack Nicholson. |
