Trecynon is a village near Aberdare, in Rhondda Cynon Taff, Wales.

The village gain press attention on 2007-03-14, when parish priest (Father Paul Bennett) was stabbed to death on the doorstep of his vicarage. The next day, a 23 year old man was charged with Father Bennett's murder.
