Round up: Principality Premiership

Local rivals Neath and Swansea met in a top-of-table clash at the Gnoll on Friday night, with the Welsh All Blacks coming away with the bragging rights following a 23-6 win.

The hosts scored tries through flanker Mike Collins and hooker Gerwyn Price, while the only points the All White could muster were two penalties through the boot of James Dixon.

Meanwhile in atrocious conditions at Sardis Road, Pontypridd sealed a bonus-point 32-7 victory against Glamorgan Wanderers. Ponty hooker Huw Dowden crashed over for two tries and he was joined on the scoreboard by Kristian Dacey and Gavin Morris, who both contributed with tries and Dai Flanagan who scored12-points with the boot. Glamorgan Wanderers sole try was scored by wing Rory Budina.

Cardiff were beaten at Bridge Field where Bedwas recorded a 21-17 victory. The Blue and Blacks were missing several players through injuries and international call-ups and Bedwas took advantage of this to secure a well earned win.

Finally in a mid-table battle Aberavon recorded a 23-3 over Llandovery. Richard Thomas, David Pritchard, Rory Gallagher and Neil White scored the tries for the Wizards while Johan Taffaetsaufer raced away to score the Drovers’ only points.
