Serving up a taste of the Six Nations

This weekend (Saturday 20th March) their national sides will be squaring up on opposite sides of the Millennium Stadium, but Carlo Fraccalvieri and Joanne Burgess are very much on the same team when it comes to creating delicious Italian cuisine with a Welsh twist.

The duo run Llanbradach based catering firm ‘A Presto’ and have been successful in receiving a Caerfilli Cwm a Mynydd partnership Rural Industry and Produce Innovation grant for marketing and product development at the Food Industry Centre in the University of Wales Institute (UWIC) in Cardiff.

Using locally sourced ingredients, A Presto deliver freshly cooked ready meals direct to the customer, including such mouth watering dishes as ‘Lasagne al Forno’, ‘Lasagne Verdi’, ‘Parmigiana’, ‘Polpette’ and ‘Genovese’.

Carlo Fraccalvieri said, “Eating healthy food is essential for having a good life and we believe that it is important to reduce the consumption of processed food and encourage people to eat healthy and use local fresh products. A Presto provides a locally produced alternative for people who are busy and can’t dedicate time to cook to eat healthy and delicious food.”

So why not enjoy the match with a delicious Italian/Wesh meal?
