AM Supports Separated Families Charity

Nick_RamsayAssembly Member Nick Ramsay is giving his support to an all Welsh charity which may help constituents who are non resident parents or grandparents who are unable to see their grandchildren.

The charity, Families Need Fathers Both Parents Matter Cymru (FNF BPM Cymru) has been awarded the Help and Support for Separated Families Mark, which allows parents to feel reassured of the charity’s aim to promote collaborative working between parents following separation by actively encouraging them to look at options such as mediation. There is also a ‘Sorting Out Separation’ web app that can be used both by parents thinking about separating and those who already have.

Congratulating the charity on being awarded the prestigious ‘Mark’, Mr Ramsay said: “I am sure we would all agree that any measures that can be put in place to reduce the conflict and heartache of separation is the best way forward. This initiative has been designed specifically to see parents working together for the benefit of their children..

“I would urge anyone who finds themselves in this unhappy situation to contact the charity via the Helpline 08456 00 44 46 (open form 10am to 7pm Monday to Friday) or to go along to one of their monthly support meetings, held in eleven locations around Wales.”
