There were plenty of opportunities to have fun and find information when Caerphilly Library hosted the Next Steps Community day on 13th August.

The event was organised by Caerphilly Bridges into Work and Working Skills for Adults which help provide a boost to individuals and companies by providing opportunities for retraining or improving skills in subjects that are in demand by local employers.

The Bridges into Work and Working Skills for Adults teams and were on hand to offer free career guidance, courses, advice and information as well as support with job searches, CV writing and personal presentation skills to help people succeed at interviews.

Visitors to the Library could take part in a Wii Challenge, the Healthy Eating Team held a bush tucker trial and gave healthy eating advice, Get Caerphilly Online showed what you can do with a raspberry pi, there was an Introduction to First Aid session and there was plenty of advice available from wide range of community and information stalls.

With crafts such as origami, a colouring competition and toddler time with special guests Peppa Pig and George, there was plenty to keep the little ones occupied.
