Garden ornaments stolen

A spate of thefts of garden ornaments has prompted a police appeal.

The garden ornaments have been stolen from the Abergele, Pensarn and Kimnel Bay areas over the past few weeks and police are keen to speak to anyone who may have any information relating to these incidents.

PCSO Sally Mulvaney explained:

“We have had a number of incidents of theft of lights, bird baths and even plants, from open plan gardens in mainly elderly and residential areas.”

“We want to remind people to mark their property with a UV pen to make it easily identifiable. Secure it to the ground as far as possible, especially in open plan gardens and keep expensive or sentimental items out of view in back gardens.”

Anyone who may have seen any suspicious vans or vehicles loitering in the area, especially at night time is asked to contact Abergele Police Station on 101 or 0845 6071001 (Welsh line), 0845 6071002 (English line) or Crimestoppers Wales on 0800 555111.
