Police in Aberdare Appeal Following Schoolgirl Assault

South Wales PolicePolice in Aberdare are appealing for information following an assault on a young girl as she walked to school.

At around 8.15am on Friday, 17th January the 16 year-old girl was approached by a man who was believed to be drunk as she walked along location known as canal walk.

He insulted and hit her causing a slight injury to her body and then walked off towards Cwmbach Road, Aberdare.

The white suspect is around 6ft 2 and between 30 and 40 years-old. He was bald or had shaved head, and had what has been described as a big build. At the time of the incident he was wearing a white and red checked shirt, dark blue jeans and muddy white trainers.
