South Wales Police Renew Appeal for Witnesses after Serious Assault in Aberdare

South Wales PolicePolice are continuing to appeal for witnesses following a serious assault which happened around 11pm on Friday 25th July in Weatherall Street, Aberdare.
 
The victim, a 15 year old youth, was walking along the street with two females when he was attacked. The victim, who is from Aberdare, suffered serious head injuries and is currently in University Hospital Wales in Cardiff.

South Wales Police have arrested a 25 year old woman in connection with the incident but officers would still like to speak to anyone who may have seen the assault”.

Detective Chief Inspector Kath Pritchard said: “We have spoken to a number of people who were in the vicinity at the time the attack took place, but we are appealing to anyone who may have seen the suspect in the area of Weatherall or Seymour Street, either before the time of the incident or running from the area, to contact police as soon as possible.”

DCI Kath Pritchard added: “We would like to the thank the public for their response so far following our initial appeal, but we still want to hear from anyone who may have information that could assist the investigation”.

“We are particularly keen to speak with the driver of a silver Audi TT that was seen in the area around the time of the assault”.
