Abercwmboi is a village in the Welsh county borough of Rhondda Cynon Taff, Glamorgan. It lies on the B4275 Cardiff Road - the old main route to Cardiff before the A4059 was built - between Aberdare and Mountain Ash. It is the most south-easterly named settlement that for postal reasons comes under the town of Aberdare.

Curiously, although for postal reasons the village comes under the town of Aberdare, its telephone std code is 01443, the code for Mountain Ash, not Aberdare's 01685.
