Brains Beer
Founded in 1713. In 1882 it was purchased by Samuel Arthur Brain and his uncle Joseph Benjamin Brain. The company has remained in the family ownership ever since. A few pints of Brains S.A. - known affectionately as “Skull Attack” is just what we need after a long day at the coal face (the IT coal face that is).

The brewery owns over 200 pubs across South Wales, the West Country and central Cardiff, and has recently become the shirt sponsor for the Welsh rugby union team. As French rules forbid sponsorship logos from appearing on rugby jerseys, when the team plays in France the word "Brains" is replaced with "Brawn". Brains' "Bread of Heaven", named for a traditional Welsh rugby anthem, was launched in 2005 in commemoration of the sponsorship.
