Aston - From 'A Topographical Dictionary of Wales' (1849) ASTON, a township, in the parish of Hawarden, union of Great Boughton, hundred of Mold, county of Flint, North Wales, 2 miles (N. by W.) from Hawarden; containing 303 inhabitants. On a gentle eminence stands the residence of Aston Hall. The Chester and Holyhead railway passes in the vicinity, about a mile from the mansion.
