Bangor, Gwynedd.
This not what some of you might be thinking, a human sacrifice being prepared but a sunbather (sorry about the fuzzy figure) taking advantage of some spring sunshine. The stone circle was errected in 1971 to commerate the holding of the National Eisteddfod.(a festival of song and poetry) in Bangor that year. The outer ring of stones represents the tradition counties of Wales and the centre stone is the stone from which the Eisteddfod is declared open.
