Rebecca Riots plaque
Carmarthen was one of the centres of the Rebecca Riots in the 1840's - local farmers, dressed as women after the Biblical tale of Rebecca, protesting against the many toll roads in the area that penalised them for transporting lime to fertilise their fields. This plaque is in Guildhall Square.
