Cemaes Bay FC is a football team, playing in the Gwynedd League (part of the Welsh football league system). Between 1995 and 1998 the club played in the League of Wales.
Cemaes Bay have recently become the laughing stock of the local football system, having suffered 2 consecutive relegations and only avoiding a 3rd by default. There are no teams in the feeder leagues - Anglesey League and the Caernarfon & District League who can be promoted, so Cemaes will not be relegated. Cemaes were relegated from the Cymru Alliance at the end of the 2004/2005 season, then spent just one season in the Welsh Alliance before being relegated to the Gwynedd League. Cemaes have been rooted to the foot of the Gwynedd League table in 2006/2007, amassing an embarrassing goal difference of minus 165, losing every single match they played in.
So far this season Cemaes have picked up a point away at Llandudno, their first point in over a year! Darren Milk is now looking to build on this to hopefully restore some pride back into Cemaes after what has been a dreadful spell in the clubs history. |
