David Lloyd
Dr David Rhys Lloyd (known as Dai Lloyd) (born in Tywyn, Gwynedd, 1956) is a Welsh politician. He has been the Plaid Cymru National Assembly for Wales Member for South Wales West since 1999.

Education
Dr Lloyd is a graduate of the University of Wales, College of Medicine, Cardiff (1980). MB BCh (1980) MRCGP (1989) Dip. Ther (1995). Awarded an Honorary Fellowship, FRCGP, by the Royal College of Physicians in 2001.

Professional career
A General Practitioner by profession. Member of the Medical Society, BMA a RCGP (Royal College of GP's); Member of the Welsh Council of the RCGP since 1992. Lay preacher since 1992, and Deacon since 1994; Chairperson, Mudiad Ysgolion Meithrin West Glamorgan 1993-1995 (vice-Chair MYM 1991-1993); Honorary vice-President Alzheimer's Disease Society in Swansea and Lliw Valley. Dr Lloyd also had a weekly, live TV Medical slot on Heno, S4C from 1995-1999.

Political career
National Assembly for Wales Member for South Wales West since 1999. Has served as Shadow Finance Minister for Plaid Cymru in the National Assembly.
