The Denbigh and Mold Junction Railway was started in north Wales, in the early 19th Century. It closed to passengers in 1962. The Denbigh & Mold Junction Railway Heritage Trust supports the restoration of part of the former Mold - Denbigh railway line. They have several items of rolling stock that members are restoring on site.
The Denbigh and Mold Railway took over responsibility for Park Royal Vehicles class 103 built railcars (M50397 and M56160). The Park Royal class 103 Driving Trailer Composite M56160 is still at the closed Bodfari Railway Centre off A541, and its companion power car Driving Motor Brake Second M50397 is at the Coventry Railway Centre.
There is absolutely no public access at all to the site at Bodfari but there is absolutely no need to 'trespass' as the vehicle M56160 can be viewed from the nearby council Aberwheeler Nursery which has good access and parking etc. |
