Miskin (Mysgyn) - From 'A Topographical Dictionary of Wales' (1849) MISKIN (MYSGYN), a hamlet, in the parish of Llantrissent, union of Cardiff, hundred of Miskin, county of Glamorgan, South Wales, 5 miles (N. E.) from Cowbridge: the population is included in the return for the parish. It was probably at a remote period a place of some consequence, having given name to the hundred. The river Ely bounds it on the west, and is here crossed by a bridge.
