Snowdon Mountain Railway
Coaling operations at the Llanberis termail of the the Snowdon Mountain Railway. Note the centre rail (an offset double rack) where by the locomotives wind themselves up and down a 3,000 ft elevation with an average gradient of 1 in 8 the steepest section being 1 in 5 (quite difficult to walk).
