Sychdyn (Soughton in English, although this is rarely used) is a village in Flintshire, Wales. It is situated on the A5119 road, and is just over 1km north of the county town of Mold. The village contains 1 pub, a SPAR shop, a post office, a chapel, and a horse riding school.

Sychdyn, which is completely surrounded by farmland and undisturbed woodland, is a desirable location for many people who work in nearby Chester, Liverpool or Wrexham who wish to live in a quiet country village with excellent views of the Welsh countryside.

Other facilities
Soughton Hall is a large country mansion-turned-hotel situated on the eastern outskirts of the village. Notable guests that have stayed at this exquisite country residence include Luciano Pavarotti, Michael Jackson and King Juan-Carlos of Spain. Lower Soughton Hall is situated about 1.5 km to the south of Soughton Hall, and is currently owned by the footballer Michael Owen.
