Church Village (Welsh: Pentref Eglwys) is a small town located in the Taff-Ely valley, between Llantrisant, Cardiff and Pontypridd in South Wales, around 10 miles northwest of Cardiff city centre, in the historic parish of Llantwit Fardre near Trefforest Industrial Estate, Tonteg, Llantwit Fardre, Beddau, Llantrisant and Talbot Green.

Historically it was known as Cross Inn, and is situated in the county of Rhondda Cynon Taff, and within the electoral administrative region of Pontypridd, although it does not share the extent of industrial mining heritage of much of the rest of the county and largely comprises new and recent build housing.

It is a rapidly growing urban area, today almost a town rather than a village, being much sought after to live in due to its proximity to Cardiff. Recently work has begun on the Church Village bypass, which should help aleviate congestion on the A473 (the main road running through Church Village from 'Powerstation Hill' to Llantrisant and Talbot Green.

Education
Church Village is the site of one of the newest school sites in Wales, which is called Gartholwg Community Campus. This initiative houses a primary school - Ysgol Gynradd Gymraeg Garth Olwg, a secondary school - Ysgol Gyfun Rhydfelen which was relocated here from Rhydyfelin, a pre-school nursery, a community library and a youth centre.

As of 2008, there is still an ongoing argument between the comprehensive school and the Welsh assembly government as to the name of the comprehensive school. With the school maintaining it is keeping its original name Ysgol Gyfun Rhydfelen and the local authorities insisting the school be named Ysgol Gyfun Gartholwg
