The Chairman of Flintshire County Council, Councillor Owen Thomas, has congratulated a resident celebrating her 100th birthday.
Betty Joinson enjoyed her birthday with family and friends in Gorsedd, Holywell, where she has lived for 50 years (before that, she lived in Carmel, where she married).
Betty is now a widow and had one son, who passed away last year. Betty has many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is a member of the Good Companions of Holywell Hospital and has been for over 46 years. Betty has never missed an event and opened the hospital’s garden fete on 3rd July this year.
