Cerith Wyn Evans


Cerith Wyn Evans (born 1958 in Wales) is a conceptual artist, sculptor and film maker. After studying at Saint Martin’s School of Art and the Royal College of Art, Wyn Evans worked as an assistant to Derek Jarman and his early experimental film work in the 1980s often concentrated on dancers including collaborations with Michael Clark. In the 1990s Wyn Evans began to work more with sculpture and installations becoming associated with the Young British Artists moment. In 2003 he represented Wales in the first ever Wales Pavilion at the Venice Biennale.
