The Chair of Flintshire County Council, Councillor Carolyn Thomas was among the special visitors who helped celebrate the 100th birthday of Mrs Florence Connor.
Mrs Connor, a resident of Wepre Villa Care Home in Connah’s Quay was born in 1913 and has four children, six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Three of her great grandchildren made the trip from France to join in the birthday celebrations and she received her card from the Queen.
Born in Birkenhead, Wirral, Mrs Connor worked in the confectionary trade where she met and married Dave Connor, who was a master baker, in 1937. He then went on to work for many years at Lever Brothers.

“I am honoured to be a part of Mrs Connor’s 100th birthday celebrations. It was a pleasure to meet her and her family and be able to say congratulations on her special day.”
