The Friends of Nant Mill have received a £5,000 Awards For All grant for improvements to the park.
Local schoolchildren from Bryn Tabor, Penygelli and Minera have been busily planting over 3,000 spring bulbs along the woodland edge and they have cleared an old garden of weeds and scrub and planted vegetables.
The grant also paid for 2 new interpretation boards, which will explain what visitors to the park can expect to see and good gardening practices.
The project also involved the creation of a ceramic tree sculpture, a giant butterfly and the installation of new benches.
