A group of boys from Cowbridge Comprehensive School had a sporty start to their Christmas break with a 5×60 activity day.
Badminton and dodgeball were among the sports on offer as the boys built up plenty of appetite for their Christmas lunches!
The activity day was run by the school’s new 5×60 Officer Barry Cawte, who aims to create enjoyable opportunities for pupils to get active by taking part in extra-curricular activities for at least 60 minutes, five times a week.
Supplementing the activities already on offer in PE lessons, the Welsh Assembly Government-funded initiative is run by the Sports Council for Wales and is supported locally by the Vale of Glamorgan Council’s sports and play development team.
