Police in Neath have seized drugs believed to be cannabis and mephedrone during a pre-planned operation.
Warrants were executed at houses in Godfrey Avenue, Glynneath and Heol y Coedcae and Gwernant in Cwmllynfell this week.
On Wednesday, officers conducted a search of the Glynneath property and discovered cannabis and hydroponic equipment.
A 35-year-old man was subsequently arrested and charged with possession and producing cannabis and will appear at Neath Magistrates Court on 4th February.
On Thursday, a further two warrants were executed in Cwmllynfell in the Swansea Valley.
At Heol y Coedcae, a 33-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of possessing a class B drug with intent to supply.
Drugs believed to be mephedrone and cannabis were seized following a search of the property. The two arrested are currently on police bail while an investigation continues.
The third warrant executed in Gwernant also resulted in drugs being found. An investigation is continuing.
Local policing sergeant Andy Abraham said: “The police activity carried out by neighbourhood officers and the pro-active policing team this week was as a result of information provided to us by the local community.
“By providing us with information about concerns they had about drugs in the community, we were able to build on what they told us and carry out the search warrants.”
