Llangollen residents can apply for a free grounds-only pass to Plas Newydd for the 2010 season.
All residents have to do is produce two pieces of address identification. The pass will be available at Llangollen Library on Saturday 30 January between 10am and 12pm and at Plas Newydd on Saturday 13 and Saturday 27 February between 10am and 3pm.
The house and grounds of Plas Newydd are open for the public to enjoy from 1 April until 31 October, seven days a week. Charges for the 2010 season are £5.50 for adults, £4.50 for concessions and £16.00 family ticket for both the house and grounds. With a grounds-only pass, cost for locals to enter the house and grounds is £3.50 for adults and £2.50 concessions. Without a free local pass, a visit to the gardens (without the house) costs £2.00 per person.
