Clwyd West Member of Parliament, David Jones, was put on the spot by pupils of Ysgol Pen y Bryn, Upper Colwyn Bay this week, when he was guest at a “Pen y Bryn Question Time” session, answering a wide range of political questions.
David Jones MP said:
“I was very pleased to be grilled by the pupils of years five and six at Ysgol Pen y Bryn.
“Their questions proved that they take a keen interest in politics, and were quite as difficult as many I have been asked in adult fora.
“They were particularly interested to know how I had become a Member of Parliament, and it was quite clear that even at such a young age, many of them were already showing an interest in a career in politics.
“Visits such as this are extremely important, since they give school pupils the opportunity to find out what makes politicians tick.
“I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Pen y Bryn, and look forward to visiting there again soon.”
