Penllergaer Burglary – Police Appeal for Information

PHOTO-4E-2South Wales Police is appealing for information about a burglary which happened at Brynderi Close in Penllergaer.

The incident happened between 2pm on Tuesday 25th February and 1.45pm on Wednesday 26th February when entry was gained by smashing a glass conservatory door.

A large quantity of jewellery was stolen, including engagement, wedding and eternity rings belonging to the 77-year-old female occupant of the house, who is currently in hospital.

A gold ladies Avia watch and a gold charm bracelet were also taken.

Detective Constable Joy Lewis of Swansea CID said: “This burglary has happened in a quiet residential area where a considerable amount of force would have been used to enter the property.

“It has happened while the occupant is in hospital and a quantity of jewellery of great sentimental value has been stolen.

“We are appealing to anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious at the property or to anyone who has information about the whereabouts of the stolen jewellery to come forward.”
