Four years on from the start of the Rhyl Market, Denbighshire County Council and Denbighshire Voluntary Services Council (DVSC) have appointed consultants, Quarterbridge Ltd, to carry out a comprehensive survey on what people think about it.
People are being asked to fill out a survey about all aspects of the market, which runs on the High Street and Sussex Street on Thursdays and Saturdays, including its management, layout and siting, its make-up, what is sold and on what days it is held. The results will form the basis of an in-depth study into the market, its benefits and any drawbacks.
Councillor David Smith, Denbighshire’s Cabinet Lead Member for Public Realm, said: “The market has been welcomed by some but not others and we want to gather these views to give us a really clear picture of where we are now and where we need to be heading in the future.”
“We want to hear from as many people as possible, from businesses, market traders, residents and visitors to ensure we are able to get the most out of the study.”
