Following the incident at an address on Bryn Bevan, Newport on Monday 5th May, the deceased 21 year old woman has been named as Jessica (known as Jess) Watkins from Caerleon.
The family of Jess has issued the following tribute:
“Jess was very loved by us and will be greatly missed. She was tragically taken from us to soon. She will always be loved by us all.” The Watkins family.
The 27 year old Newport man arrested on suspicion of murder remains in police custody at this time following a warrant for further detention being granted yesterday afternoon.
