Young People Mean Business in Rhyl Town Challenge

denbighshireYoung people will be turning into budding Alan Sugars in a national business challenge being arranged in six areas of the UK next week, including Rhyl.

This prestigious TestTown event is sponsored by the Carnegie Trust and will involve a competition in which a number of young people aged between 16 and 30 will have the chance to test pilot their business ideas within the town centres.

The budding entrepreneurs will receive training at Rhyl College for a few days, before having an opportunity to test their selling skills by setting up business  in the town centre  on Friday, June 27th and Saturday, 28th.

The winning business idea will be announced on Sunday, June 29th.  The Rhyl winner, together with the champions from the other five towns, will then compete in a final TestTown event in Cambridge later this year

The Rhyl event is being arranged by Denbighshire County Council’s Regeneration Team, in partnership with Rhyl College and Rhyl City Strategy. An exciting programme of street entertainment will be arranged on Rhyl High Street on the Friday and Saturday, to coincide with the event.
