Denbighshire County Council has congratulated its Leader, Councillor Hugh Evans on his appointment to the Board of the Welsh Language broadcaster S4C.
Councillor Evans was selected following a rigorous selection process and was one of three new members chosen for the Board.
He has also been appointed as Chair of the Board’s Scrutiny Committee.
Dr Mohammed Mehmet, Chief Executive of Denbighshire County Council said:
“We are thrilled that Councillor Evans has been selected to this very important role that will help shape the future of Welsh language broadcasting in Wales on S4C.
“Councillor Evans is a passionate believer in the development of Welsh language broadcast and the importance of S4C in the growing media landscape in Wales.
“He has a wealth of expertise in scrutinising public affairs and this experience, together with his commitment to making a difference, will prove invaluable to S4C.”
