Companies in Wales wishing to find out more about trading internationally and exporting can register now to attend Explore Export – a day packed with information and advice from experts in their field covering all aspects of international trade
Explore Export builds on the success of last year’s International Trade Day and will cover more markets and more export topics through a comprehensive seminar programme and 1-2-1 meetings with market experts..
Economy Minister Edwina Hart said:” Explore Export proves a great opportunity for companies across the sectors to find out more about trading internationally and exporting from the experts. The Welsh Government provides a very comprehensive package of support to help companies trade internationally and this event complements that work.”
Explore Export will be held on 14 November at City Hall in Cardiff although companies are advised to register now on line at www.exploreexport.ukti.gov.uk/cardiff.aspx.
The key feature of Explore Export , which is supported by the Welsh Government and UK Trade & Investment, will see over 50 commercial officers from UKTI’s overseas offices coming to Cardiff for 1-2-1 meetings with companies.
Featured markets will include traditional export destinations for Welsh products and services, such as USA, Ireland and Germany; high growth markets such as China and India plus emerging and more challenging niche markets such as Libya, Mongolia and Algeria.
The export seminars were in high demand last year, and following feedback from attendees, more have been added. The programme will again feature export licences and managing agents and distributors as well as new topics, such as Incoterms, how to access opportunities for aid funded business and export communication.
Eryl Williams, Managing Director of Asbri Golf, who attended last year’s event advises other to take advantage of Explore Export.
He said: “It provided us with the perfect opportunity to gather a lot of information about exporting. The market discussions were very informative, and helped us to identify opportunities for our business in other markets, whilst the exhibition was great to meet other organisations that can assist us with our plans for growing our exports. It was also great to discuss and share exporting experiences with other business who attended. We will definitely be attending this year’s event.”
The event is free to Wales based companies who are exporting or are looking to export for the first time, and companies can register for the 1-2-1 meetings with commercial officers and to attend the export seminars on the website www.exploreexport.ukti.gov.uk.
