Police in the Vale of Glamorgan are appealing for information about a burglary which happened at Cowbridge Road in Ystradowen.
The incident happened sometime between 8am on Tuesday 12th August and 9.20am on Wednesday 13th August and resulted in a quantity of jewellery and an OBE medal in a black case being stolen.
Entry was gained to the property when a ground floor window was forced.
Police are appealing to anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area to come forward.
Detective Constable David Rich of Barry CID said: “We are also appealing to anyone who has any information about jewellery being offered for sale, particularly the OBE medal belonging to the victim which is obviously of huge sentimental value, to contact the police.”
