Top Activities in North Wales for Adrenaline-Junkies

bear-grylls-survival-courseA Welsh Government tourism campaign is currently set in place in a bid to promote Wales as the world’s ‘capital of adventure tourism’.

The launch of this campaign will be done by two adrenaline junkies, Bear Grylls and Richard Parks. They have both been made the Adventure Ambassador for Wales 2016. If you’re an adrenaline junkie yourself, then Wales is definitely the place to be with an array of activity parks in North Wales.

Here are some of the top places to go:

  • Dragon Raiders Activity Park – Dragon Raiders is home to a number of outdoor activities in North Wales including the survival course, which the newly appointed Adventure Ambassador Bear Grylls designed himself. This is the Bear Grylls Survival Academy where you’ll learn what it takes to survive in the wilderness through a number of challenging tasks. You’ll make fires and learn techniques on how to catch and cook your own food, build shelter and how to keep hydrated with water purification techniques. You can also enjoy games of paintball and even a Segway adventure during with friends and family, as a day trip with school or you can book an activity for a corporate event.
  • Zip World – They are home to the longest zip line in the northern hemisphere and the fastest in the world at Zip World Velocity. If that’s not enough for you, Zip World Caverns is the world’s largest fully underground zip line course. If that’s really not enough for you, then Zip World Titan is the largest zip zone in Europe and is Europe’s only four person zip line.
  • Bounce Below – Located at Zip World Titan, Bounce Below is the world’s first subterranean playground with giant trampolines, walkways, slides and tunnels. To make it even better, all of the above is suspended in a slate cavern hidden away underground. Although the size of Bounce Below isn’t particularly appealing for children, they have also opened earlier on this year Junior Bounce. This is designed for ages 3-6 years old.
