Caernarfon’s Big Charity Fun Day is a great day out for the whole family. Kids and adults alike will get to meet army reps and will love the assault course, which features a climbing frame, rifle range and lots more exciting challenges to put yourself to the test.
If you prefer a more relaxing day there will be plenty of other activities too such as vintage trucks, mini steam train rides and a tombola stand with great prizes to be won.
The Big Fun Day takes place at the renowned Coed Helen Holiday Park, set in scenic landscape of the Caernarfon countryside, on Saturday August 15th.
This is not only a great day out with plenty of entertainment, you will also be helping to support a very worthy cause. The event is being held to raise money for two very important charities: Help For Heroes and High Ground Roots To Recovery. Both these organisations do their utmost to support those who have served in the army forces.
Help For Heroes works tirelessly to offer help to those who have been wounded in military service and their families, including those who have experienced life changing injuries in High Ground – Roots to Recovery provides advice towards employment and civilian life after service and offers a Horticultural Therapy Service for patients at the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre. It helps those who have served in the armed forces convert their essential skills to helping them find employment in the land based sector.
In the evening you will be invited to join Coed Helen at Paddy’s, their wonderful onsite bar, for the charity raffle. There are fun prizes and all money raised will go to Help the Heroes and High Ground Roots To Recovery.
