The CEO of the Chartered Management Institute is to launch a new networking club for businesses in North Wales to share knowledge and work collaboratively.
CMI chief executive Ann Francke will lead a talk on management and leadership at the first meeting of The Glyndŵr Club in Wrexham on Thursday September 3.
Hosted by Glyndŵr University’s Business School, the event will run from 4.30pm to 6.30pm in the Catrin Finch Centre.
Ann is former Global Managing Director at the British Standards Institution and has also worked for Proctor and Gamble, as well as holding the post of European Vice President at Mars with responsibility for the company’s pet care portfolio.
She is also a leading commentator on all aspects of management, writing for numerous national websites and newspapers.
Laura Gough, business development executive at Glyndŵr University, said: “We couldn’t think of anyone better than Ann to launch the new Glyndŵr Club, which is all about providing an outlet for businesses to share knowledge, ideas, best practice, challenges, and any opportunities for them to work collaboratively.
“Ann has an outstanding track record as a leader and a wealth of knowledge and expertise in how organisations can improve performance. Her talk promises to be one not to be missed.”
Following the launch event, Glyndŵr University will host regular meetings of The Glyndŵr Club throughout the year as part of its commitment to supporting the business community in North Wales.
Meetings will feature different guest speakers and focus on topics most relevant and useful to today’s business leaders.
Laura added: “The Club has been established following feedback from local businesses on how the university can help them.
“We have a vital role to play in creating opportunities for all of them to grow, providing access to the types of services and support which would otherwise be beyond their reach.”
