Jamie Owen and Louise Elliott will be spending a morning with the people of Swansea when they present their BBC Radio Wales show live from the city’s National Waterfront Museum on Thursday 28 January.
Louise will be encouraging everyone to turn up with a few more metres of knitting to add to her red Six Nations scarf, as she attempts to make a garment long enough to circuit the inside of the Millennium Stadium.
If anyone fancies joining in there’s an area set aside at the museum where knitters can get together with others for a natter and to add to the growing inches.
Needles and wool will be provided, and Louise will be on hand with knitting lessons for the uninitiated.
Also dropping in will be award-winning actor Michael Sheen’s parents Meyrick and Irene, who will be visiting from their Port Talbot home.
Meyrick will be discussing his involvement with the Swansea Bay Film Festival in May, and Swansea’s bid to be Britain’s 2013 City of Culture, which his son is supporting.
Former Wales international Garin Jenkins will also be on hand, giving the low-down on preparations for this year’s Six Nations tournament, and talking about Tom Prydie, the youngest player to be called up to the Welsh squad, who came up through the Ospreys, where Garin is elite youth development officer.
