Prestatyn community event

Residents have been canvassed about ongoing issues in their neighbourhood.

Last week the Prestatyn Neighbourhood Policing Team and Denbighshire Housing Services held a mobile surgery, where they asked residents of the council flats on Caradoc Road for their to voice their concerns on issues relating to the neighbourhood.

Officers also took the opportunity to dispense some crime prevention advice to the residents and gave out some SMARTWATER Kits.

PC Richard Evans explained: “We arranged to assist the residents with marking up and then registering their property with SMARTWATER to ensure that if items are ever lost or stolen and subsequently recovered, they can be reunited with their rightful owner.”

“The afternoon was a great success with residents, many of whom are elderly and immobile, welcoming the visit from the local officers and housing services. On the whole, there were very few complaints from the residents. Some incidents of anti-social behaviour around the Christmas holidays were raised however these have since been addressed with the issuing of Yellow Cards.”

Anyone with any concerns is asked to contact Pc Richard Evans at Prestatyn Police Station.
