Colin Blunstone, an English pop singer-songwriter, best known as a member of the pop group The Zombies will be playing the Globe, Roath, Cardiff on the 18th February.
Blunstone’s plaintive, wistful voice was one of the factors making the single, “She’s Not There” a big hit worldwide. Blunstone also contributed to Dave Stewart’s hit cover version of “What Becomes Of The Broken Hearted”. He went on to appear on several albums by The Alan Parsons Project including Eye In The Sky and Ammonia Avenue. In 1984, he joined with other Parsons musicians to form Keats. Blunstone has appeared quite a few times on radio and television shows in the UK. He and his band performed several sessions for John Peel and Jonnie Walker.
Blunstone still tours to this day, and will be bringing his wealth of experience along with his All Star Band to The Globe, Albany Rd on Thursday February 18th. He will be joined by fellow Zombies member, Keith Airey (guitar), Pete Billington (keyboards), Pat Illingworth (drums) and Chris Childs (bass). His ‘On The Road To Tokyo’ Tour celebrates his recent new album release, The Ghost of You And Me which was released in the UK, Benelux and Scandinavia on 9 March 2009.
