A new collective of musicians and artists in South Wales called Epic Fail Collective are presenting a celebration of underground DIY music in the vaults of an old bank in Cardiff Bay.
The new venue called The Vaults is situated in the basement of the Old Natwest Bank, a fitting location for a host of underground bands from South Wales and beyond.
Confirmed to play are Welsh language hip hop act Llwybr Llaethog from Grangetown who have recently self released ‘Chwaneg’ their 11th album, The band achieved cult status after being touted by the late John Peel. Also performing on the night are another act from Grangetown called Escape Brunswick, who describe themselves as ‘Ghetto Techno’ who will be debuting their live show. Female electro artist Little Eris from Riverside who has just returned from a UK tour will be performing her cute electro pop with her live band The Molecules.
The evening will kick off with Pontypridd punks Gung Ho and Small Faced Man with a special appearance from Gloucester band 2 Sick Monkeys.
Cardiff DJ’s, Dinnermoney and Dave ‘The Rave’ Grooveslave will be playing tunes to get the dancefloor bouncing until the early hours.
There will be also be fanzines and cd’s for sale, great visuals and projections, décor and a chill out room.

“All the bands have been invited to play due to their ‘Do It Yourself’ music ethic, they have all produced DIY home recordings, self released EP’s and albums, organized their own shows or booked their own tours.
“It’s a celebration of bands, artists and dj’s from Cardiff. and the surrounding areas who have shown a commitment to the underground scene. This is great opportunity to come and enjoy a wealth of talent and fresh sounds from bands who are not represented in the mainstream.”
Tickets for the Epic Fail Collective party are £5 plus 50p booking fee and are available from Spillers Records, Cardiff.
