Residents are invited to come and have their say on proposals for a regeneration project to improve and enhance Canada Road in Gabalfa. The project aims to revamp the area outside of Ysgol Mynydd Bychan making it more attractive for pedestrians, school children and parents.
The project is part of Cardiff Council’s Neighbourhood Renewal Schemes Programme which funds environmental improvements all over Cardiff. New paving, street furniture and measures to improve pedestrian safety will transform the space into a community focal point.
Proposals for the area will be exhibited on the following dates:
Thursday 18th February
3pm – 6pm Ysgol Mynydd Bychan
Friday 19th February
9am – Midday Ysgol Mynydd Bychan
Saturday 20th February
10am – Midday Exhibition Trailer (outside Ysgol Mynydd Bychan)
Council staff will be on hand to explain the proposals and take suggestions for how the area could be improved.
Cardiff Council Executive Member for Communities, Housing and Social Justice, Cllr Judith Woodman said: “I would encourage residents to take this opportunity to find out more about the Canada Road proposals and get involved in shaping their local area.”
