Rugby fans are in for a treat next month as international rugby union referee Nigel Owens is set to pay a visit to Newbridge Rugby Club as part of World Book Day.
The visit, which coincides with World Book Day on Thursday 4th March, is being arranged by Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Library Service.
Nigel, who is arguably one of the best Welsh international rugby union referees, has now also turned his hand to writing and his autobiography ‘Half Time’ was published in November 2009.
Nigel will be talking to the audience in Newbridge about his life and career to date, and there will also be a question and answer session during the second part of the evening.
Nigel Owens has been a Heineken Cup referee and was the only Welsh referee at the 2007 Rugby World Cup in France.
Admission will be by ticket only and the event will begin at 7pm on 4th March. Tickets can be obtained free of charge from Newbridge library.
