A man has been arrested following a road traffic collision on the A55 in Colwyn Bay during the early hours of this morning (Wednesday, 3rd March).
At approximately 02:15hrs a one-vehicle collision occurred on the eastbound carriageway between the off-slip and on-slip of junction 21.
An ambulance was called and the female passenger was taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd in Bodelwyddan with minor injuries. She has since been discharged from the hospital.
The male driver – a 40-year-old local man, was arrested by officers on suspicion of driving offences and he remains in police custody at this time.
The road remains closed whilst a detailed examination takes place and it is anticipated to re-open at approximately 11:30am.
